If neurotic is wanting two mutually exclusive things at one and the same time, then I'm neurotic as hell. I'll be flying back and forth between one mutually exclusive thing and another for the rest of my days.
I couldn't agree more with this, I have to say. I see no contradiction in wanting (or liking, say) absolute opposites at PRECISELY the same time, which makes me think we should be thinking circularly, and not linearly. Opposites are rarely opposite, in my humble view. But then I am having quite a major bark.
Still, much as I'm happy to agree with Ms. Plath, I'd rather not meet the same end.
