It is absolutely freezing here today, but elsewhere, David Irving has been arrested, and a Mexican woman has taken on and beaten Coca Cola. I am slightly hung over after a leaving do last night, but I don't have to be at work for another 2 hours...

Mr. Irving presumably knew there was a warrant for his arrest in Austria, so must have wanted to provoke this arrest. Holocaust-deniers are too queer. What can he mean that the gas chambers never existed? They're still there today - I've walked through one in Auschwitz, guided by a survivor - or does he claim they were built afterwards? In any case, I suppose Mr. Irving must be allowed to spout his crap. But it is utterly fair also, in my view, that in Austria, as in Germany, that position is considered criminal, which Mr. Irving must well have known. He could, in theory, go to prison for this. Some time for reflection, perhaps? Although I guess his views are too entrenched, like those of many a rational nutter, for them to be dislodged.
