The Millenium Problems

are seven mathematical problems, set by the Clay Mathematics Institute, and considered by mathematicians to be the most pressing (and difficult) mathematical problems of the age. Six of them require a deep knowledge of maths simply to understand the problem - feel free to dive in, if you feel like it. The P vs NP problem, however, is essentially one that could be solved by a logical/efficient/insane thinker.
