Shakespeare

is enjoying a mini-revival, thanks to the wonderful season of BBC updates. I watched Taming of the Shrew this evening, with further delights to follow over the week. This all serves to prove (although I, like most British kids, could not bear the Bard when compelled to read him at school) truly was a genius, a master of the English language (if it was him what wrote those plays and poems), and as with all classics, the play had a timeless quality, standing up well to slight rewriting and a transference to the modern day.
