Slavic romanticism

It may just be my inebriation (early, I know, dears), but it was bliss to be on the bus trapped between two young Ealing Polish couples. In fact, it wouldn't matter if they were from any other Slavonic nation. I adore understanding vague (and not so vague) parts of conversations, adverts, labels on food, websites, itd. The longer I spend in Ealing, the greater my pan-Slavist/Slavophile/slightly/bonkers ideas become. Can a non-Slav have these ideas?

Certainly can. Just remember never to drink any bottle of any alcohol that heavily features any Slavic tongue. It can only be bad for you. Ignore comments such as, "Oh, but Becherovka is actually wonderful." It isn't, just as all other Slavic drinks made from inappropriate plants aren't. Stick with wine and beer (Czech if need be, though preferably German) (not the wine) (although German wine is all right too) though drown yourself in Slavic company by all means...
