Were the French good? I'm actually not watching that much football as 90 minutes seems far too long. So I follow the score online and then switch the TV on for the last 10 seconds. A French pal in Berlin has been praying for the French to lose since the outset, but did allow himself a quiver of glee at yesterday's victory. There's a bit of romance at the oldies doing well, n'est-ce pas?

...I suppose we now have to call him 'un dieu tombé', although I'm not sure if the French say that, actually. What's the word on the street? What was the exchange that led to the oddly-aimed head-butt?
