I have just lost a couple of hundred word post on Stefan Zweig due to the effects of Mr Gates accursed mail program crashing my machine.

Darling, how can you blame Mr. Gates when it is clearly because of a quirk of the calendar? Observe today's date... (Excuse the mysticism. I watched the ball scene in the Master and Margarita last night.)

Possibly. But more likely (and in my case, Mozilla, or "Blogger.com is currently experiencing technical difficulties" is usually to blame) the Stefan Zweig post will never see the light of day.
Speaking of Vitya, I had the most bizarre SSEESy dream last night, of which more later...
I'd love to dream, but am in the midst of a prolonged (pre-holiday, I think. I hate holidays) bout of insomnia. Darling, but be careful about publicising any dreams. Shrinks would majorly disapprove. My shrink ex-mother-in-law (or perhaps a colleague of hers) liked to recount how one of their colleagues once recounted a dream at some shrinky conference. It was seen as the height of vulgarity. The man conducting the whole thing commented, "Yes, we all sometimes need to go to the toilet in public." Luckily, the dream-recounting shrink was - true to shrinkery - too bonkers to notice the insult.
Anyway, ignore my advice, of course. I'd love to hear the dream...
